The Wide Mouth Frog

Narrator On day a mother wide-mouth frog and her little son sat on a log near their pond.
Little Frog Mother, I like to eat bugs.  What do other baby animals like to eat?
Mother Frog I don’t know.  Why don’t you go ask some of our neighbors?
Little Frog Okay.  Ribbit.
Narrator So the little wide-mouth frog went to Mrs. Rabbit’s house.
Little Frog Hi Mrs. Rabbit.  I like to eat bugs.  What do your babies like to eat?
Rabbit Baby rabbits like clover and sweet grass.
Little Frog Okay.  Thanks.  Ribbit.
Narrator Next the little wide-mouth frog went to Mrs. Giraffe’s house.
Little Frog Hi Mrs. Giraffe.  I like to eat bugs.  What do your babies like to eat?
Mrs. Giraffe My babies like to eat leaves and fruit and such.
Little Frog Okay.  Thanks.  Ribbit.
Narrator The little wide mouth frog went to see Mr. Elephant.
Little Frog Mr. Elephant, what do your babies eat?
Mr. Elephant Well, grass… and they love peanuts and bananas too.
Little Frog Okay.  Thanks.  Ribbit.
Narrator Finally the little wide mouth frog went to Mr. Alligator.
Little Frog Excuse me, Mr. Alligator, what do your babies eat?
Mr. Alligator Why, our babies eat Wide-mouth Frogs!
Baby Alligators Yummy, yummy, yummy.
Narrator The baby alligators chased the little frog all the way home.
